About Us

Global leader in cabling

We’re a global leader in the cable industry. We started 120 years ago with electric wiring, and became part of Alcatel in 1991. We became Nexans in 2000, and we’ve been listed on the Euronext stock exchange since 2001. Today, we have an industrial presence in 40 countries with commercial activities worldwide, with close to 26,000 employees. For key figures and other financial information, please visit Nexans’ corporate site.

Over our history, we’ve played a role in several industrial revolutions. During the second industrial revolution, our cabling helped to advance electrification. In the third industrial revolution, our cables helped pave the way for the explosion of digital.

Now, we’re ready to help you in the fourth industrial revolution – building a hyper-connected world, powered by the hyperscale data center.

Essential to this revolution is the capability to harness massive computing power to analyze and process the vast stream of data generated by billions of connected devices.

We’re zooming along a hyperlane of innovation, facing new challenges in terms of connectivity and scalability. As a connectivity expert, we’re ready to support innovators like you who are building the framework that’s going to take us into the future. That’s why we launched Nexans Data Center Solutions – to support you in scaling up your data center, fixing your problems and industrializing your new concepts.
